Part One Rise of the Days like Noah and Lot
Introduction
- I have decided to do a few more posts and I have a few more news articles about what is happening on the earth.
- I will put them into three parts. Some parts will be broken down further into sections to break down the parts into easier reading for the reader of the blog and to help cover in depth the things I want to say in those parts.
- First part will do with the days being like Noah and Lot.
- This part will be broken down into two sections. The first section Part 1 will be a history lesson on who Noah and Lot were and why God judged the earth / cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and why Noah and Lot escaped the judgment.
- The second section will be Part 1a, this part will focus on the beginning of what Jesus says in Matthew 24 about earthquakes, plagues and wars.
- News items to do with these things will be covered in this part.
- Part two will deal with the rise of the head of the beast that was wounded Revelation 13.
- I will break the news items down to the rise in the anti semitism around the world and my neck of the woods Australia and New Zealand, rise in the antichrist spirit ie rise in persecution of Christians.
- As well as including news items on the rise in Islam, Nazism, etc.
- There will be a third part to look more in depth as to what exactly is the beast's head that is wounded and why I believe it is a certain faith system that is becoming more and more powerful, predominant and is favored widely by the world govt, the world's media.
- This religion is Islam
- Part 3 will be broken down into the following sections.
- Part 3a Rise of the favor of Islam around the world after the Pope's covenant with the world's religions. So this will be the rise of the One World Religion.
- Part 3b Rise of threat of war in the Middle East through Iran an Islamic nation. This war will possibly be the Psalm 83 war which will lead into Daniel's 70th week.
- Part 3c The rise of the false Messiah this man will form the peace covenant with Israel and the nations of the world including Arabic nations. This will come about after the war between the Jews and the Arabs. So this will be the rise of the one world Government or political power.
- While this man may appear to be a cosmic New Age version of Christ. I firmly believe that he will in reality be the Islamic version of Christ (known as Isa in the Koran) more details will be given to why I believe this in Part 3c.
- Before we go into the events that are currently happening to be like in the days of Noah and Lot. I will begin with a history lesson from the bible about who Noah and Lot are and why Jesus refers to these two people in relation to His second coming.
- I will look at what was happening on the earth at the time of Noah and Lot to bring about God's righteous judgment upon the planet through flood and upon two cities that were totally wicked, through fire and brimstone which seems like either a volcanic eruption or a huge meteorite falling upon these two cities.
- I will put down the scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament that relate to each person beginning with Noah followed by Lot.
- Then after I have done this and explained how the judgments that occurred within the days of Noah and Lot relate to the second coming of Jesus.
- I will put down the news items to do with what is happening around the world that shows how our days are indeed like the days of Noah and Lot.
- Before I begin with scriptures I am putting down the bible verses to do with these men from both Old and New Testaments.
- I am doing this to show people who don't know about them from having a church background but they may have heard of these two men that they are real people who did live upon the earth.
- I am also writing to those who are from a church background and do know about these men from hearing about them from Sunday School or from sermons but have been told by their ministers. That these men didn't live that these factual accounts are just made up allegories etc and that the flood didn't really happen neither did the events with Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Or the judgments were not that bad or they were not against homosexuals or immoral people as in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah. That God doesn't do this kind of thing bring judgment upon humankind in this way etc.
- Please be aware that these accounts are very real, they are historical and there is plenty of evidence around the world showing that there was a flood of a huge degree upon the earth.
- I believe the fountains of the deep that were opened were possibly through earthquakes, volcanic upheaval and perhaps caused huge Tsunamis upon the earth. The deep ocean trenches that have underseas volcanoes in them may have been land but have sunk due to these huge eruptions and caused flooding upon the earth.
- This event can happen again but instead of water it will be fire from volcanoes erupting and maybe meteorites falling from the sky more on this further down the page.

Genesis 6:1-22
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

Genesis 7;1-34
1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

Genesis 9:8-17
- Before I finish with the account of Noah. I will also include the scriptures about the rainbow being a covenant between God and man that He will not flood the earth again with a big flood.
- People may think the rainbow has to do with the Gay movement as they use the rainbow or the New Age movement as well as they also use the rainbow for their logo.
- Nor did the rainbow come about through the rainbow serpent Australian Aborigines or through any other means as told in different cultures's folk lore.
- The truth about the origins of the rainbow is found in the bible alone.
Genesis 9:8-17
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.
30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.
32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
New Testament
Luke 17:28-32
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
2 Peter 2:6-96 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Jude 1:77 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
What caused the judgments to come upon the earth Noah and the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah Lot?
- Both of these accounts happened because God was angry with mankind in the days of Noah because the earth was corrupt, it was full of violence, the thoughts of men's hearts was evil, all sorts of wickedness was being done on the earth.
- Even angels were cohabiting with mankind. This would have added to the evil being done on the earth this would have brought about the rise in occult practices, human / animal sacrifices people learning about things to do with the spiritual realm that man had no business of knowing because that realm belongs to God.

- As well as the fact that both the earth and the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were filled with wickedness of all kinds.
- God went down to see if the report that reached heaven about Sodom and Gomorrah was true and if so He was going to bring judgment upon the cities.
- Before He did this He told Abraham about His plans to destroy these cities.
- Abraham intercedes before God to not to destroy the cities if there were found within them ten righteous people. However he stopped short at ten and didn't go down to five people or less. If he prayed to the Lord to not to destroy the cities on behalf of five or less people. Maybe God may have held off the judgment.
- As Abraham didn't pray for five or less people to be found within these cities God sent His two angels to Sodom and it was just as the report that went up to heaven indicated they were like.
- In the end there was only four people who came out of Sodom and Gomorrah not even Lot's future sons in law believed Lot when he tried to warn them to flee the judgment to come they thought he was joking.
- Even Lot's wife perished because she looked back.
Why did Noah and Lot escape the judgments?
Noah and Lot escaped judgment because they were found to be righteous in God's sight.
Noah

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
Genesis 7;1
1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

Genesis 19:9
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
Also in Lot's case God spared Lot because of Abraham for Lot was Abraham's nephew.
Genesis 19:29
29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
Genesis 11:27-32
27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

Genesis 14:1-16
1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3 All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4 Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emins in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6 And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.

10 And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
11 And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
12 And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14 And when Abram heard that his brother (nephew) was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
Difference in time between the two Judgments.
Noah Long period of time.
It took a long time for the judgment of God to come upon the earth in the days of Noah because God was giving time for Noah to:
a) build the Ark they didn't have modern technology in those days and it would take a long time to cut down the trees, saw them into planks and to make stalls for the animals, food storage and living compartments for Noah and his family.
They may have only had hand saws to use and whatever tools they had hence the length of time needed to build the ark.
b) It would take time to gather food for both Noah, his family and the different animals.
c) It would take a while to get the different kind of animals, reptiles and birds both clean and unclean pairs to be put into the ark.
God may have brought the animals to Noah in the short period before He sent the flood upon the earth.
He may have put it into the minds of the animals, reptiles and birds to seek Noah out to be included in the ark.
d) Most importantly the length of time building the ark gave Noah time to preach to the people around him and maybe while growing the crops and gathering the food as well as building the ark.
He and his family would have been preaching to the people to repent from their wicked ways, they would have been warning them of the judgement that was to come upon the earth through a great flood.
He may have sent a written warning to the people who lived a distance from where he was building the ark.
We don't know if this was the case as we are not given details of what Noah was doing while building the ark, Nor are we given the exact age Noah was when God instructed him to build the ark.
We know he was 500 plus years of age when his sons was born.
So sometime between when his sons were born and grew up and married wives, God told Noah to build an ark this could be anywhere between 70-100 years to build the ark depending upon when the sons married and when they started building the ark.
We do know the age Noah was when the flood came for he was 600 years of age when the flood came.
Genesis 5:32
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 7:6
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
He spent all that time preaching and warning people of the judgment that was coming. While he was building the ark God was patiently holding off the judgment.
1 Peter 3:20
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
2 Peter 2:5
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
What we do know is that the people didn't pay heed to the warnings and thereby perished in the flood.
Genesis 7:17-24
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
- For they would have possibly thought that Noah was making it up about the coming judgment through flood. For rain was not on the earth up until the time of the flood.
- God used other means to water the earth, so the idea of a huge amount of water covering the whole earth may have seemed like madness to those who heard the warnings from Noah about a flood coming upon the earth as judgment from God.
Genesis 2:5-6
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
- People would have mocked and scoffed at Noah but they were the ones who would have been banging on the sides of the ark to be let in when the rains finally did come.
- However by then it would have been too late for God Himself shut Noah and his family plus the animals in so that no one could get into the ark that was not meant to be there.
Genesis 7:16
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
- If they heeded the warnings rooms would have been made for those who chose to believe the warnings but none did except the family of Noah so that only 8 people plus the animals, reptiles and birds survived the flood as is recorded in scripture.
Genesis 7:10-15
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
For in reality it was only with Noah did God make a covenant to save him and his family from the destruction to come upon the earth. Genesis 6:13-23
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
For Noah was the only one who was righteous and had grace in God's sight. This is not to say that Noah didn't warn people about the coming flood for he did as is stated in 2 Peter 2:5 he preached the message of coming judgment.
Genesis 6:8-9
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Genesis 7:1
1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Peter 2:55 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Lot sudden onset of judgment short period of time.
- In comparison to the long time of judgment coming upon the earth in Noah's day it happened fairly quickly in Lot's day.
- God heard the cry of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah their cry was very great and their sin was grievous. That is why He came down to see if the report of what was going on within them was true.
- On the way He visited with Abraham promising him that he will have a son within a year and He will visit him again when the son was born. He also told Abraham what He was about to do in destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. I have already dealt with Abraham's prayer to God to spare the cities on behalf of ten righteous people.
- As there were not to be found ten righteous people within the cities just Lot, his wife and daughters so in reality only four were saved. This is even less than the number of people saved in Noah's day.
- There were 8 saved in Noah's day just his family including his three daughter's in law.
- In Lot's case there were only four saved not even his future sons in law were saved. Even in the end there were only three saved for Lot's wife looked back and perished.
- Noah obeyed what God commanded him to do but Lot needed to be really convinced by the angels to flee the cities for they said to him if he stayed he would be overtaken by the iniquity in the cities. In the end they had to forcibly remove him and his family from harm.
- There was little time to gather goods to take with them they only had time to save themselves and even as I wrote above they had to be forcibly removed from danger by the angels grabbing them by the hands to get them out of the cities before God rained destruction down upon them from heaven.
- It seems as though they only had less than 24 hours maybe 12 hours before destruction came upon the two cities that it was only a night of warning of danger to come. Then in the morning came destruction upon these two wicked cities by God raining fire and brimstone upon these cities from heaven.
- Truly the destruction upon Sodom and Gomorrah was sudden their day of suddenly came upon them, no ifs and buts God poured out His righteous judgment upon them. Even after intercession to Him by Abraham that didn't stay His hand the number of righteous people Abraham prayed for, for the city to be spared were not found within these two cities.
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
This leads me to compare these two forms of judgment to the length of time between the two comings of Christ.
- We are now nearly 2,000 years since Jesus came to bring peace between man and God through His death upon the cross by pouring out His sinless righteous, pure life blood upon that tree.
- The gospel has gone throughout the world to all nations, people, tribes and tongues. God has been gracious, slow to anger, not willing that any should perish.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- He has allowed for a great length of time to elapse for the gospel to go forth so that people from all nations and all time periods can hear the good news of salvation through God's Son Jesus.
- Just like God gave a good period of time for Noah to build the ark and preach about the coming wrath / judgment to come through flood.
- So too the gospel has gone forth calling all who hear it to repentance and to be saved from the coming wrath of God upon the earth.
- This wrath will be revealed in the Day of Christ when Jesus appears the second time to bring judgment upon the people on the earth. Those who are outside of Him and who are disobedient to the gospel and who have rejected His offer of salvation by believing in Him.
- The second coming of Jesus can be likened to the suddenness of judgment coming upon the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Jesus and HIs apostles warn us several times that His coming will be sudden, it will come upon people like a thief in the night. That we must not be found naked, we must be watching out for His coming and not be caught sleeping.
- That the time of the second coming of Jesus will occur during the night watch. that is also why Jesus says we must be awake for we don't know what hour of the night He is coming.
- The following scriptures will included verses about Jesus coming as a thief as well as His telling us to be awake during the night watch to be alert for His coming at any hour of the night.

Hosea 6:1-3
1 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
- People will not be expecting Him to come, they will be slacking off and saying His coming is a long ways away and not to worry just get on with life and enjoy it.
- That only a few will be saved even like in Lot's day only a few were saved and even so through force.
- Jesus tells us through scripture that His angels will do the reaping of those who are His by separating them from those who are not at the end of the age.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 24:29-31
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mark 13:24-27
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Luke 21:20-28
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
- People wrongly think that the event of Jesus saving people will be through a Pre Trib rapture. That is they are being saved from God's wrath that will be poured out upon the earth during the Great Tribulation.
- They forget that satan will be pouring out his wrath upon both the people of Israel the Jews and the Christians who are alive at this period of time. Satan will be warring against the saints and God will be warring against the beast (satan) and his kingdom see Revelation chapters 12-19.
- When Jesus appears this will be the climax of the wrath of God upon the earth and at His appearing He will gather to Himself those who are His see scripture verses above about the angels gathering the elect.
- God is allowing the Great Tribulation to take place on the earth as a test of all the people upon the earth and how they will treat the Jewish people, during this time of Jacob's Troubles.
- Just like God poured out His wrath by sending the plagues on the people in Egypt to judge the gods of Egypt at the times of Moses. So too God will be pouring His wrath upon the earth, He didn't pour His wrath out upon the Israelites He made a distinction between them and the Egyptians.
Exodus 8:20-25
20 And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.
23 And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.
24 And the Lord did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
25 And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.
Exodus 9:1-6
1 Then the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3 Behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4 And the Lord shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
5 And the Lord appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land.
6 And the Lord did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
He will do the same too during the time of the Great Tribulation some people will be martyred for their faith. Some will be kept alive because they will be hiding His people to be brought back to Israel when Jesus appears.
Revelation 2:8-11
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death
Revelation 3:7-13
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
- The Lord will catch up His people by force through the angels coming and getting them when He appears with the sound of a shofar and His shout of command to raise the dead those who sleep in Him. This event takes place only when He physically appears not before.
- This is how Lot and his family were saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah through the angels physically grabbing them by their hands and removing them swiftly from harm.
- When Jesus appears He will remove those who are His from harm by sending His angels to gather them from the earth by catching up into the air to meet with Him as Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4 writes.
Matthew 24:29-31

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
This is when we will all be changed in a twinkling of an eye putting off the mortal and putting on our immortal incorruptible new bodies that will be like Jesus's own glorified body.
1 Corinthians 15:50-54
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Then when that takes place He will pour out the full brunt of His wrath upon the armies who are gathered against Jerusalem and His people.
This event of God's wrath is described in Ezekiel 38 & 39, Joel 3, Zephaniah 3, Zechariah 14, Revelation 19. For homework you can look up these scriptures.
Who will be the ones to escape the coming wrath of God /Christ at His appearing? Why will they escape?
The ones to escape the wrath to come are the ones who have been born again. The ones whose lives have been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb.
John 3:5-21
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Hebrews 10:5-23
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Revelation 12:1111 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Who have become God's sons and daughters through faith in His Son Jesus Christ as the true messiah the only way to God and who have His Son's eternal life in them by the Holy Spirit being given to them as a seal.
John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Ephesians 1:3-14
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
They escape God's wrath because their names are in the Lamb's book of life, those whose names are not in the Lamb's book of life worship the beast.
Those who stood for the Lord giving up their lives for Him during the time of the Great Tribulation will be raised to life and will reign with Him during His millennial reign on earth from Jerusalem.
Revelation 13:4-8
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 20:44 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Those who trust In Jesus, their lives are hidden in the Ark of the New Covenant who is Christ Himself.
Colossians 3:1-4
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
- As this first segment was a bit longer than I intended I am breaking it into two sections Part 1 which is the history lessons about Noah and Lot.
- I have decided to make the segment about the news items of what is happening in the world today to show that we are living in the days like Noah and Lot into another Part which will be called Part 1a.
