Why the church should be ministering to the Jewish people and sending people to Israel to minister to them by sharing the gospel with them

Why the church should be ministering to the Jewish people

and sending people to Israel to minister them by sharing the gospel with them

Background

The question could be why Israel? And my answer to this question why not minster to and send missionaries to the Jews and the land of Israel to share the gospel with them about their Jewish Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

After all Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans in chapter 1 verse 16 the following words.

Romans 1:16

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentiles.

Also in

Romans chapter 11:11-31

11 So I ask, Have they stumbled so as to fall [to their utter spiritual ruin, irretrievably]? By no means! But through their false step and transgression salvation [has come] to the Gentiles, so as to arouse Israel [to see and feel what they forfeited] and so to make them jealous.

12 Now if their stumbling (their lapse, their transgression) has so enriched the world [at large], and if [Israel's] failure means such riches for the Gentiles, think what an enrichment and greater advantage will follow their full reinstatement!

13 But now I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I lay great stress on my ministry and magnify my office,

14 In the hope of making my fellow Jews jealous [in order to stir them up to imitate, copy, and appropriate], and thus managing to save some of them.

15 For if their rejection and exclusion from the benefits of salvation were [overruled] for the reconciliation of a world to God, what will their acceptance and admission mean? [It will be nothing short of] life from the dead!

16 Now if the first handful of dough offered as the firstfruits [Abraham and the patriarchs] is consecrated (holy), so is the whole mass [the nation of Israel]; and if the root [Abraham] is consecrated (holy), so are the branches.

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, while you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them to share the richness [of the root and sap] of the olive tree,

18 Do not boast over the branches and pride yourself at their expense. If you do boast and feel superior, remember it is not you that support the root, but the root [that supports] you.

19 You will say then, Branches were broken (pruned) off so that I might be grafted in!

20 That is true. But they were broken (pruned) off because of their unbelief (their lack of real faith), and you are established through faith [because you do believe]. So do not become proud and conceited, but rather stand in awe and be reverently afraid.

21 For if God did not spare the natural branches [because of unbelief], neither will He spare you [if you are guilty of the same offense].

22 Then note and appreciate the gracious kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's gracious kindness to you--provided you continue in His grace and abide in His kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off (pruned away).

23 And even those others [the fallen branches, Jews], if they do not persist in [clinging to] their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again.

24 For if you have been cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and against nature grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much easier will it be to graft these natural [branches] back on [the original parent stock of] their own olive tree.

25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in,

26 And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob.

27 And this will be My covenant (My agreement) with them when I shall take away their sins.

28 From the point of view of the Gospel (good news), they [the Jews, at present] are enemies [of God], which is for your advantage and benefit. But from the point of view of God's choice (of election, of divine selection), they are still the beloved (dear to Him) for the sake of their forefathers.

29 For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]

30 Just as you were once disobedient and rebellious toward God but now have obtained [His] mercy, through their disobedience,

31 So they also now are being disobedient [when you are receiving mercy], that they in turn may one day, through the mercy you are enjoying, also receive mercy [that they may share the mercy which has been shown to you--through you as messengers of the Gospel to them].

Reasons why we should witness to the Jews/ Israeli people

1. I believe these Bible passage speak for themselves, there is an erroneous belief in the church at large that God has finished with His chosen people and that the church has replaced them.

2. From what is stated by Paul in the above passage we Gentiles are the wild olive tree grafted into the native olive tree which is our Hebraic / Patriarchal roots of the faith that both the Jews and Gentiles share in.

3. In reality it is Christ / God the Father who is the true root of the tree, Christ is our Hebrew root for He is the root and the head, the beginning and the end the Alpha and Omega and He is the true Jewish root for He is from the line of Judah through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah down to David through Nathan down to Mary.

4. We have the same forefathers of faith, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we are required by the Lord to share the gospel with His brethren, they have been partially hardened to the truth by Yahweh Himself.

5. So that we Gentiles people of the nations can receive God’s mercy due to their partial hardening to the gospel.

6. Their hearts had been hardened by the devil who has both blinded them and filled their minds with hatred towards Christians and towards God because they feel He has deserted them.

7. They also feel hatred towards the Christians because of what the false church (the Catholic church) had done to them down through the ages.

8. We as a body of Gentile believers and the church at large need to repent of what we have done to the Jews down through the ages in persecuting them, killing them and hindering them from receiving the gospel of their Messiah who dearly loves them and wants them to come back to Him.

9. However when I read the Old Testament, those passages that relate to Israel and Jerusalem are speaking literarily about Israel and Jerusalem and a lot of these promises will be fulfilled when Jesus (Yeshua His Hebrew name) will come back to rule physically from the Davidic throne in Jerusalem.

10. Yahweh has never forsaken His people, He has never given up on His people, He still loves them and Yeshua’s death on the cross atoned for the house of Israel and washed clean Jerusalem from her sins as well as the sins of the Gentiles nations and peoples on the day of His death.

11. As mentioned above Yahweh has partially hardened His people to the truth of the gospel so that we Gentiles can come to Him, therefore we are required by the Lord to look after His people and to show favour and kindness to them as well as giving them the opportunity to hear the gospel of salvation.

12. However the time of the Gentiles is nearly complete and then when the time of the Gentiles is complete the Lord will come back to save His nation Israel and join Israel and Judah together so that they will be one Kingdom under their King.

13. There are many Jews who are coming to faith in Yeshua as their Messiah but many more still need to hear the gospel.  Yahweh is bringing many young men and women when they have finished their training in the IDF to the ends of the earth Australia and New Zealand

14. These young people are back packing around these two countries and in their travels they are staying with believers who love Israel and her people and are witnessing to them about Yeshua and His love for them and giving them the message of salvation through the cross and some are coming to faith in Him.

This was the case when I first wrote this article back in 2012.

Today the Jewish young people are now fighting for Israel as part of the IDF forces, and some Jewish young people from the nations have gone back to Israel to join the IDF in fighting Hamas after Israel was attacked viciously by them on 7 October 2023.

15. May I mention here that Australia and New Zealand’s history is tied up with the nation of Israel, because during the First World War God used the ANZACS through His supernatural help to win back the wells of Beersheva, this was done through the last charge of the Light horse cavalry in the Light Horsemen of Australia and the Mounted Rifles of New Zealand, this opened the door for Jerusalem and Palestine to be taken back out of Turkish hands.

16. This was in readiness for Yahweh to prepare things so that Israel can become a nation in May 1948 after nearly 2,000 years of not being inhabited as a land by her covenant people.

17. Also there are Utra Orthodox Jews who are coming to faith in Yeshua through various ministries that God has raised up in Israel to reach these people.

18. The church needs to repent of this replacement theology and ask for Yahweh to forgive them in their misguided belief that He has replaced His people with believers from the Gentile nations. The true bride is made up of both Jewish and Gentile believers we are the One New Man that Ephesians chapter 2:11 – 22 speaks about.

19. For we are part of the Commonwealth of Israel and share in the blessings that God has bestowed on His people because we have come to faith in Yeshua under the New Covenant and can have relationship with Him, but nowhere does He say that He has cast off His people forever we are co heirs with them Ephesians 3:6.

20. We are to make them jealous through our personal relationship with their God and thus cause them to want to come back to Him because they can see we have a relationship with Him that they don’t have.

This relationship was won for us through Yeshua’s redeeming death on the cross and His resurrection gives us hope in Him and ability to overcome.  Our lives must be an epistle a living example of faith in God enough to make them jealous of us and want what we have.

21. Yahweh is faithful to His covenants and He will never go back on or break His promises.

22. He will make a new covenant with His people and will write His laws on their hearts. Also the heavens will be destroyed before God will break His covenants with His Israeli people and that will never happen

Jeremiah 31: 31-37

31 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

32 Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says the Lord.

33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

34 And they will no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they will all know Me [recognize, understand, and be acquainted with Me], from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will [seriously] remember their sin no more.

35 Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day and the fixed order of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, Who stirs up the sea's roaring billows or stills the waves when they roar--the Lord of hosts is His name:

36 If these ordinances [of fixed order] depart from before Me, says the Lord, then the posterity of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me throughout the ages.

37 Thus says the Lord: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, says the Lord.

Hebrews 8:8-13

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Jesus (Yeshua) is the New Covenant

This new covenant is the New Covenant that Yeshua introduced at His Last Passover Seder meal before His death and was ratified through His poured out life blood on Calvary, and confirmed by God the Father through the torn veil in the temple when He died and through His resurrection.

Yeshua (Jesus) is the New Covenant for He is the Lamb of God He is our Passover Lamb that was slain on the cross and who rose again and He is at the Father’s right hand and He is coming again.

This is the gospel of their Messiah that we must share with the lost sheep of the house of Israel so that they can come to faith in their Messiah.

When the Jewish people come back to God through faith in their Jewish Messiah, God can then write His laws on their hearts and they can have a relationship with Him and He longs for them to have this relationship with Him as His people as is prophesized in the above passage.

God keeps His promises to His people for the sake of the forefathers of our faith Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who was renamed by God Israel and that is why God is called the God of Israel.  Yahweh will remove the partial hardness from His people’s hearts by taking from them the heart of stone and will give them a heart of flesh.  This will happen when the time is right and He is starting to wake them up and He is bringing them back to their land.

Yes it is their land not mine, not yours, not the Pope's or the Arabs' land but their land which is really His Yahweh’s land and He has chosen to give it to the Hebrew people as their inheritance.

It is also the inheritance of His Son Jesus as well, and salvation comes from the Jews which it has in the person of Yeshua (Jesus) He was born a Jew and still is a Jew as He is alive in heaven and will come back as a Jew to the house of His brethren the Jewish people.

That is why God is bringing His people back to their land in order for God to bring this age to an end and to bring in His physical kingdom by His Son returning to this earth to reign.

Why am I stating that the church should minister to the Jewish people by sending people to Israel to share the gospel of their Jewish messiah with them

1. That someone should teach the church about Israel and what she means to God and how she fits into His plans and purposes in these last days.

2. To teach on the covenant God made with Abraham and how this still applies to Israel and indirectly the church.

3.To lead the church in repentance in regards to the replacement theology and to seek God’s forgiveness in regards to having this belief system in place and asking Him to lead us in ways on how we can be reconciled to our Jewish brethren in the faith.  So that there will be true unity between both groups of believers (Jew and Gentile) in Christ, and how we can reach the Jewish people with the gospel.

4. To have prayer meetings for Israel and her people and to raise awareness of what is going on in the Middle East in relation to the scriptures.

5. To arrange for visiting speakers such as people from Celebrate Messiah ministry who can give seminars on how we can evangelize the Jewish people or someone from Christian Friends of Israel to come to our church and speak as guest speakers or to run seminars. Or to invite any other speakers that people may know of.

6. To promote good reading material that will help people to be better informed about Israel and her people.

7. If someone in the church has a good knowledge of things to do with Israel and end times, ie have written articles or bible studies on this subject.  Then be willing to allow them to teach the church what they know to run a group to pray for Israel, to teach the truths from the scriptures about Israel, and the return of Jesus as well as to take a group of people to Israel when the time is right to do so.

8. To include Israel as a missionary destination for people who are considering on going on short term mission trips and who have a heart for Israel.

9. Most people don’t realize this but everything on this earth revolves spiritually and physically around Israel, because Israel matters very much to God, she is the apple of His eye, Zechariah 2:8b.

10. God will fight for His people and He will defend them and He will destroy those nations who will stand in His way in this, He has done it before and He will do it again.  He is very jealous for His people; His love goes very deep for them.

Zechariah 8:2-3

2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.”

3 This is what the Lord says: “I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain. ”

As in the verse from Numbers 24 in regards to God blessing people who bless Israel or cursing them if they curse Israel.

As blessing or cursing Israel is tantamount to blessing or cursing God Himself for His Son was later to be born among these people.

That is why they are His inheritance the tribes of Israel and especially the tribe of Judah is His special inheritance from among them for Jesus comes from this tribe.

Numbers 24:9 – Amplified version

9 He couched, he lay down as a lion; and as a lioness, who shall rouse him? Blessed [of God] is he who blesses you [who prays for and contributes to your welfare] and cursed [of God] is he who curses you [who in word, thought, or deed would bring harm upon you].

Do the Jews believe that Jesus is their Messiah and do they know their God?

People mistakenly believe that because they think that the Jews know God because they have the Torah, however that is not correct.  There is only a small percentage of the Jews that believe in God through the Torah.

For the Ultra Orthodox follow the oral traditions and the teachings of rabbis and the occult writings of the scriptures called the Cabala rather than what is actually written in the Torah.  Most Jews are non believers in God, they are secular. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible from Genesis to Deuteronomy that Moses wrote.

The Messianic believers are on the rise but the Jews regard them as non Jews because they believe in Yeshua as their Messiah.  Still Yahweh is bringing His people home from nations of the earth in fulfilment of the prophecies in Jeremiah, Isaiah and Ezekiel that He will bring His people from all of the nations of the earth back to their land.

So just because a person is a Jew it doesn’t mean that they have a faith in their God or have any knowledge of Him or their history a lot of them are very ignorant of their own history.  Israel and the Jewish people are the last people group in a way that has been reached for the gospel.

Yet when the Spirit of God has moved on His people over the years we have benefited from it as well take for example the six day war in 1967, when Jerusalem was won back from Gentile hands and came under Jewish control again (the Temple Mount was won back but was given back to the control of the Muslims.

The reason why this was done is because the time was not yet right for the building of the third temple, though that time for its rebuilding is fast approaching).

At the same time this was happening in Israel the Jesus movement started occurring around the world and  through this movement many Jewish people came to faith in Jesus as their Messiah and have gone on to raise up Messianic congregations around the world and in Israel itself.

Please pray over this article about why the church should be ministering to the Jewish people, and ask the Lord what He would have you to do with it.  I don’t believe that He would want it to sit gathering dust.  Ask the Lord specifically what does He want your church to do as a body to reach His people.

He is waking the church up to her obligations to minister to the house of Israel and to reach the lost sheep of Israel.  Ask Him to show you who He wants to teach on the things mentioned in the above points and organize guest speakers to come to speak at your church on Israel

In Conclusion How and why we should minister to the Jews as individuals and as a church

I will leave one last passage of scripture as a conclusion taken from Romans chapter 15.

 Romans 15:8-12.25-27

8 For I tell you that Christ (the Messiah) became a servant and a minister to the circumcised (the Jews) in order to show God's truthfulness and honesty by confirming (verifying) the promises given] to our fathers,

9 And [also in order] that the Gentiles (nations) might glorify God for His mercy to them. As it is written, Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles and sing praises to Your name.

10 Again it is said, Rejoice (exult), O Gentiles, along with His [own] people;

11 And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him!

12 And further Isaiah says, There shall be a Sprout from the Root of Jesse, He Who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope.

25 For the present, however, I am going to Jerusalem to bring aid (relief) for the saints (God's people there).

26 For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make some contribution for the poor among the saints of Jerusalem.

27 They were pleased to do it; and surely they are in debt to them, for if these Gentiles have come to share in their [the Jerusalem Jews'] spiritual blessings, then they ought also to be of service to them in material blessings.

Paul states in the above verses in Romans chapter 15 that as we have been blessed spiritually by the Jews we should also minister to them materially we are in their debt.

It is thanks to the people of Israel and the God of Israel we are enriched by the scriptures and the knowledge of their God through His Son Yeshua.

Otherwise we wouldn’t know anything about God or His word except for the fact that the gospel was first brought to us through the Jewish apostles and disciples, therefore we must return the favour by sharing the gospel with them and to help them materially.

It is only right and fitting that we do so, to minister to our Lord’s blood kith and kin of the nation of Israel as this will be pleasing to the Lord and will bring a blessing to the church and individuals who minister to His people.

Those who bless Israel are blessing not only His people but God Himself as they will be blessing His Son who was born a man and lived among them, the land is His inheritance through the promise /covenants God made of the land to the Patriarchs.

Still we should desire to minister to the Jews not just because of a blessing we may get from the Lord for doing so, our desire to minister to the Jews should be born out of our love for the Lord and the knowledge that this is His heart’s desire to see His people wooed back to Him by our reaching out to them with the gospel.

We need to have His heart for them to know His deep heart’s cry to be re united with them, that He is aching and longing for them to come back to Him.

This is the cry of His heart to have His people come back to Him.  Though they have sinned against Him time and time again, He will never cast them off or reject them but will preserve a remnant for His name’s sake and for the promises He made to Patriarchs, they are as a people His inheritance.

The Sheep and Goat Nations which one will our nation be?

How and why we should minister to the Jews and the body of Christ at large as individuals, churches and as nations as destinies of nations depend upon how we treat the chosen people of the Lord and the elect of His household.

The following verses in Matthew 25 are a sobering warning about where nations will spend eternity based on how they treated the Lord in the way they treated His brethren.

Matthew 25:31-46

31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory (His majesty and splendor), and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

32 All nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them [the people] from one another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats;

33 And He will cause the sheep to stand at His right hand, but the goats at His left.

34 Then the King will say to those at His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God and appointed to eternal salvation], inherit (receive as your own) the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

35 For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me,

36 I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me.

37 Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink?

38 And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You?

39 And when did we see You sick or in prison and came to visit You?

40 And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me.

41 Then He will say to those at His left hand, Begone from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels!

42 For I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink,

43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome Me and entertain Me, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me with help and ministering care

44 Then they also [in their turn] will answer, Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?

45 And He will reply to them, Solemnly I declare to you, in so far as you failed to do it for the least [in the estimation of men] of these, you failed to do it for Me.

46 Then they will go away into eternal punishment, but those who are just and upright and in right standing with God into eternal life.

The above verses in Matthew 25 are addressed to the nations that are separated into sheep and goats on the basis of how they treated the Lord’s brethren, those who are of His Jewish brethren who have yet to be saved and those of the household of faith the church (Jewish and Gentile believers).  If they looked after them in the ways the Lord speaks of in these verses they will enter as sheep nations into His kingdom.  Those nations that didn’t look after His people will be cast into hell.

It is a sobering thought how we will as individuals, churches and as a nation or nations will treat His people in the upcoming Tribulation period and even now leading up to this period of time will determine where  nations will spend eternity.

We must remember that Jesus is Jewish and will be coming back as a Jew to a Jewish nation and how we treat His people will show how we regard and treat Him.

If we look after His people and minister to their needs when strangers, hungry, naked, sick or in prison and we take them in, feed, clothe and visit them when sick and in prison. We are doing this to the least of these His brethren and we are not just ministering to His people we are ministering to Jesus Himself as their God.

Don’t forget there are believing Jews of the Messianic Congregations in Israel and around the world who are part of the body of Christ the church and so need to be ministered to as well.

The church is not just those in the west the third world countries, the Islamic countries or Asia which comprise the underground persecuted church from the Gentile nations but the Lord has His own brethren as well in Israel in the Messianic congregations.  Who we should be encouraging in their faith and support them, as they too suffer persecution in Israel by both unbelieving Jews and Arabs.

The church over all is comprised of both believing Jews and Gentiles not just one or the other but the two groups make up the one whole component of the body of Christ.  His body is incomplete if we focus on only one side it is lop sided it must be balanced between the two.

The Lord wants to reach all people but He now wants to reach His unsaved brethren as the gospel has gone basically to all the gentile nations and now the time of the Gentiles has almost been completed and now it is time for the gospel to go to His blood kith and kin the Jews.

He is returning to Israel not to the gentile nations, yet at His return He will deal with the gentile nations, to judge them on how they treated Him in their dealings with the Jews and His body the church.

For too long the Jews have been ignored and left to fend for themselves and have been persecuted by the church the ones who should be helping them come to know their Messiah.

Instead the church has become a stumbling block to the Jewish people and have hindered them from entering into the fold.

We have made the church totally gentile and have cut it off from the Hebrew root of the Patriarchs Romans 11 the olive tree verses.  God is the Hebrew root, Jesus is the Hebrew root and He is the Jewish root being from the tribe of Judah which is where the term Jew comes from.

The Lord wants us to turn our attention back to His people, this is His heart’s desire to reach them for Him, to sow seeds into their lives to prepare them for what is coming up ahead.

The believing Gentiles may have to even be prepared to make hiding places for them during the Great Tribulation so that they can be brought back alive to Jerusalem at the end when the Lord comes back to His land.  The Lord will bring His people back to Israel and Jerusalem from the nations where He has scattered them Isaiah 11, 49, 62.

We also must be looking out for each other we who are believers and this includes our Jewish brethren who are believers where ever they are around the world and in Israel.

As the Lord’s Holy Spirit lives in us, in taking care of people of the household of faith we are really doing it unto Him and as He was born an Israelite of the House of Israel as well as being born a Jew He is Jewish as He is from the tribe of Judah.

He is also an Israeli being born into the House of Israel through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) from the tribes of Israel and of Judah as already mentioned.  His return to heaven has not stopped the Lord from being Jewish, by ministering to the Lord’s literal blood kith and kin, the tribes of Israel we are ministering to Him by ministering to those belonging to His nation and tribe.

Both James and John tell us in their epistles to look after the poor, orphans and widows, to clothe and feed people not just send them away empty handed and hungry.  Paul tells the church to keep doing good to the household of faith which include believing Jews and Jews who yet to come to faith in Jesus, and not grow weary and to look after genuine widows.

Those nations that persecuted the Lord’s people of the true church which is the body of Christ connected to the native olive tree of Israel and persecuting the Jews.

These nations will end up going to hell this is when they did not look after them when they were hungry or sick or in prison or naked or a stranger.

These countries would be the ones, who put His people both the Jew and the saints of the true church into prison, hunted them down, persecuted them, stripped them of their clothes and belongings and left them sick and dying.  By doing this they have treated the Lord Himself with disdain, contempt and hatred.

Will we as individuals, as churches and different nations be guilty of this too if we see these things happening around the world to the Jews and His church and say nothing to help or to support them in any way to help feed, clothe or visit them in prison or sick or to write to them.

If we look the other way when these things start to take place around the world as they are now against the Jews and the saints of the household of faith the church then we are as guilty too as the nations who are doing these things.

The Lord wants His church to look after His Jewish people, to be His ministering hands to them both in Israel and around the world and to look out for each other as the church body locally and around the world.

We are supposed to be light and salt as a body of believers and if we as churches that represent the body of Christ look after His Jewish people and each other during these dark days that are coming, we will be seen by God to be as salt and light in the world by doing this.

The Lord is even now testing people to see who will stand with Him in supporting the Jewish people and Israel after what happened to them when Hamas attacked them on 7 October 2023. This event was the beginning of the great sifting, shaking and separating of people that is happening now, to see who will stand with God and Israel and  who will stand on the side of satan and evil.

God is testing not only individuals and nations but in this He is also testing the church to see if the church overall will stand with Him in supporting and standing with His people.  The Jewish people are still His chosen people who are the fallen off branches that will one day become grafted back into the olive tree.

These Jewish people who will be grafted back into the Olive Tree will be part of the harvest that is coming. Thereby we by standing with and supporting them in their time of need, are being salt and light which will help preserve our nations by our deeds and acts of kindnesses to the Lord’s brethren the Jews.

The church by doing these things we will help preserve our nations of  Australia  / New Zealand or whatever nation the person reading this blog post belongs to and that nation will enter into the kingdom of our Lord at His return as a sheep nation.

Remember the Lord is the Chief Shepherd and Israel is His fold and the people of Israel the tribes of Israel and those who belong to the body of Christ are the sheep of His pasture.

He wants to bring both lots of sheep into one fold Israel with Jerusalem as the capital of His kingdom of heaven from where He will rule Israel and the nations of the world at His return when He sits on the throne of David to rule over the house of Jacob and the nations.

We as the body of Christ the believers in their Jewish Messiah must be about Father’s business to help bring these lost sheep of the house of Israel into the fold.

Some scripture verses to remind people that the land of Israel belongs to the Lord

Leviticus 25:23

23The land shall not be sold into perpetual ownership, for the land is Mine; you are [only] strangers and temporary residents with Me.

Israel is the tribe of His inheritance.

Jeremiah 10:16

16 The Portion of Jacob [the true God on Whom Israel has a claim] is not like these, for He is the Fashioner and Maker of all things, and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance--the Lord of hosts is His name.

The giving of the covenant of the land of Canaan to the Patriarchs and the people of Israel

1 Chronicles 16:13-22 (the Patriarchs were also God’s prophets)

13 O you offspring of [Abraham and] of Israel His servants, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

14 He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

15 Be mindful of His covenant forever, the promise which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,

16 The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac.

17 He confirmed it as a statute to Jacob, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

18 Saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the measured portion of your possession and inheritance

19 When they were but few, even a very few, and only temporary residents and strangers in it,

20 When they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people,

21 He allowed no man to do them wrong; yes, He reproved kings for their sakes,

22 Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.
