Part 5 section D Jesus as Judge.- the coming of the Son of Man after the Great Tribulation

Part 5 Section D Jesus as Judge - the coming of the Son of Man after the Great Tribulation

Matthew 24:29-36
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Matthew 25:31-46
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Some notes on Sections D and E
  • In the next two sections I am going to focus on what Jesus will be doing when He returns to the earth.
  • Section D will be about Jesus returning to the earth to bring judgment to those people living on the earth and the nations of the earth.
  • So that He can separate the sheep from the goats in order for Him to take the sheep nations into the KIngdom with Him.
  • I will place below an article I have written about this.
  • Section E will be about the millennial kingdom of Jesus, who will be in this kingdom and what it will be like.
  • Jesus is not just going to catch His people who believe in Him up in the air go to heaven and leave the earth to its own devices.  No He is going to sort out those who are righteous from those who are not.  He will send the wicked nations and people off into the outer darkness and the righteous will come into His kingdom.
  • Which will be the kingdom of heaven on the earth and Jerusalem will be glorified in her God.  The times of the Gentiles will be complete and Israel will once more be a great nation that God intended it to be through His Son, who will be ruling over Israel and the nations from the temple in Jerusalem.
  • All the scriptures pertaining to the restoration of both Israel and Zion will be fulfilled during the millennial reign of Christ and after the thousand years of His reign will be the Great White Throne judgment.
  • Where the rest of the dead will be raised and judged and after this event will be the New Heavens and the New Earth where the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven and God and His Son will dwell openly in the New Jerusalem  with their people those who belong to them for all of eternity.  More on this is section E.
  • I felt it was important to add these two sections so that people will get a good understanding of why Jesus had to return, what He will  be doing on His return, where He will be coming back to and the truth about the millennial kingdom of Christ.
  • Now to the article that I wrote concerning the Lord Jesus coming back to judge the living.  This section is taken from another teaching series of articles I have written on the Seven Churches of Revelation hence my references to the vision John saw of Jesus in the book of Revelation and the reference to Jesus judging the churches.
  • This part deals with Christ’s role as judge of the living and the dead, whom He judges and the significance of the robe of blood that He comes back in.

John’s vision of the risen Christ.

Revelation 1:10-20

I was in the Spirit [rapt in His power] on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like the calling of a war trumpet,

11 Saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Write promptly what you see (your vision) in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia--to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.

12 Then I turned to see [whose was] the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 And in the midst of the lampstands [One] like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His breast.
14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, [as white] as snow, and His eyes [flashed] like a flame of fire.
15 His feet glowed like burnished (bright) bronze as it is refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.
16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth there came forth a sharp two-edged sword, and His face was like the sun shining in full power at midday.
17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last,
18 And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of death and Hades (the realm of the dead).
19 Write therefore the things you see, what they are [and signify] and what is to take place hereafter.
20 As to the hidden meaning (the mystery) of the seven stars which you saw on My right hand and the seven lampstands of gold: the seven stars are the seven angels (messengers) of the seven assemblies (churches) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

1 John’s Vision and the judgment of Christ upon the churches.
⦁ In the vision of the Lord Jesus that John saw each aspect of the Lord’s person is related to the Lord’s message to a particular church or assembly.
The vision of Christ that John saw is amazing, he saw the risen glorified, holy God of Israel, who is the Son of the Living God of Israel in His glorified body.
He was so overcome by this vision he fell down at the feet of Jesus as though dead.
Can you imagine what it will be like for the world when they finally see this glorified Christ coming in all of His and His Father’s glory along with the heavenly angels and His resurrected saints?
They will be screaming for the mountains, the rocks to fall on them and to try and hide in the caves as described they will be doing so in Revelation 6:15-17 to try and get away from the wrath of the Lamb and His Holy Father.
⦁ This vision of Christ that John saw speaks of judgment the eyes blazing like fire, judgment of the thoughts and intents of the hearts of individuals and the church, feet like burnished bronze, his hair and beard white like wool, His face shining like the sun, a sword going forth from His mouth to judge by the word which is like a sword and Jesus said to the Pharisees in John 12:47-50 that the word will judge them, and His voice sounding like many waters or like a war trumpet (shofar).
⦁ He will deal in judgment in different ways which will be looked at one by one of the different churches.  Judgment begins with the house of God and Jesus means business when He says He will judge.  He warns about what will happen, because He is merciful He gives an opportunity for people to repent, He carries out His judgment but also will protect and reward those who obey Him and those who overcome they will share with Him in His kingdom.

2 A word about a lie doing the rounds in today’s churches among both young and old.
⦁ This is so serious the Lord has compelled me to include this in my notes on the Lord’s judging the living and the dead.

⦁ I will make some points here before going on to my other points on Jesus judging the living and the dead. That there is a worrying trend in the church today that when Jesus comes back He is coming back for everyone and that He is not coming back to one nation to Israel but He is coming back to all nations and localities.

⦁ I only became aware of this insidious lie and how deeply entrenched it is becoming through a conversation I had with a young person at the church I attended on the 01 March 2015.

⦁ I was told by this young person and some older people have said this to me also that God is no longer the God of Israel but is the God for all nations.  Not so this is a lie from the pit of hell.  If we don’t know that the true God of the Bible and His Son are the One true God of Israel then we are following a false god.  Yes He is a God of the nations but first and foremost He is the God of Israel.

⦁ This false teaching is being taught to the young and older people in the church today and it must be stopped because if this lie is not corrected they are heading head first into the Lake of Fire.   They will be candidates for the Mark of the Beast and they will welcome the false Christ with open arms.

This lie is being brought about by so called revivalists and restorationists.  They are not bringing the church into the truth but bringing it into apostasy and a strong spirit of delusion because they loved not the truth.

⦁ If we cannot stop this lie because it is too entrenched in a lot of churches today then we must warn those who are caught up in this lie.

To tell the truth of what will really happen when the real Jesus comes back and tell them the difference between the true and false Christ and to pray for these people to wake up and to come to the Lord out of this deception and not only this they must be warned and rebuked for believing this lie.

⦁ They must be told they need to repent and to turn back to the true and living God of Israel and to accept His Son as being the only way to God through what He did on the cross and that He is in heaven at Father’s right hand interceding for them as their High Priest.

⦁ They must also be told that Jesus is not only the head of the church that He is the King of Israel and all nations.   That  when he comes back he will be ruling over Israel and the nations from Jerusalem the capital city of His kingdom, this city of Jerusalem is the city of the great King.

⦁ Today people are being taught falsely that this entity this demon who will appear masquerading as Christ is accepting, tolerates all people from all walks of life, backgrounds, creeds, religions, and sinful lifestyles.

⦁ He doesn’t judge anyone and he loves everyone.  This is a lie and this is soul destroying this is not the true Jesus.
These people who believe this lie must be warned that what they have been taught is wrong and they need to repent of believing this lie from hell.

⦁ This demon this antichrist will persecute the true believers who stand.  For they will stand for truth and righteousness and they will speak about God being the God of Israel and a God who judges and is coming back to this earth as a judge, a king and High Priest.

3 Who will the true Jesus come back for?
⦁ The true Jesus is not coming back for everyone He is coming back only for those who belong to His true body.  He is coming back for those that have shared with Him in His sufferings through what they have suffered.

Those who have been martyred for their faith in Him and who have washed their garments in the blood of the Lamb.  These are they who refused to take the mark of the beast, and who loved not their lives but are willing to die for their Lord and Savior.

⦁ The true Jesus will only be coming for the saints of both the Old and New Covenant who have died in Him who He will resurrect at His second coming in His physical glorified body.

⦁ He will come for those who are alive at His coming who belong to Him from both the nations and Israel.  He will certainly be coming for the remnant of Israel who will be calling for Him to come and save them.

⦁ As to those other people who have rejected Him and this includes those from the apostate churches combined of all denominations and of all religions who form the One World Harlot religion.

The Lord will come back to judge them with eyes blazing with fiery anger and wrath and He will slay them with the sword that comes out of His mouth.

⦁ Read the following scriptures and you will see what I mean this is talking to both unbelievers and people who once were Christians. They have become ensnared in the deception from hell and have been given over to a strong spirit of delusion from God for they love not the truth but prefer lies to His truth.  These are the ones who are disobedient to the gospel by rejecting it and doing their own thing.

These are the ones who will be on the receiving end of Jesus’s judgments.
2 Thessalonians 1:4-10
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-13
 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

The martyrs under the altar and the enemies of the Lord on the Day of His appearing.
Revelation 6:9-17
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, how long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Jesus coming back for those who are His.
Matthew 24:27-31
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
1 Corinthians 15:51-55
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Revelation 1:5-7
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

4 The different types of Judgment of the Lord
The judgment of the Living and the dead when will these take place?

⦁ Jesus is the judge of the Living and the dead and He is the righteous judge of the church as He is the head of the church, of the nations and of Israel for He is both King over the nations and over Israel.

He has every right to judge because He knows what is in the hearts of men and He also has lived among men as a human being, they judged Him unfairly but He will judge them fairly / justly /righteously in accordance to their deeds.
References: 1 Timothy 4:1, Micah 4:1-3, Isaiah 11:1-5, Psalm 45:2-7, Psalm 2:5-12, Psalm 110.

⦁ He will judge the living at His return in the Valley of decision separating the sheep and goat nations to see who will enter into His kingdom. Joel 3:9-17, and Matthew 25:31-46.

⦁ The church or believers will be judged at the Bema Seat of Christ for how they built upon Him as the foundation of the temple.

On how they built upon the prophets OT and apostles NT which are connected to Him.  Depending upon how we built upon Him the prophets and apostles the scriptures will determine if we receive a reward or it will be burnt up and we just make it into His kingdom but without a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.

⦁ He will judge the rest of the dead at the Great White Throne judgment between this old world and the new heaven and earth being formed.

This will be when the unrighteous will be raised those who didn’t receive the gospel or refused to receive the gospel and their deeds will be read out.

They will be judged on their deeds all the dead will be raised at this second resurrection from the earth, the sea and under the earth hell.

Their deeds will be read out from the books of heaven and if their names are not found in the Lamb’s book of Life they will be cast into the Lake of Fire Revelation 20:11-15, and Daniel 7:7-11.

⦁ This is frightening and no person in their right mind would want to be here but many are blindly heading this way on the broad way to death that Jesus warned us in Matthew 7:13 not to go on.  The way indeed is narrow and gets narrower and harder as we draw closer to the end.

⦁ Many people get the White Throne judgment mixed up in their teaching on end times in the churches and many teach falsely that we will be raised up along with the unrighteous dead at this time.

If we as supposed believers of Jesus are raised up at this time then we have a lot to fear for we will be in the second resurrection and missed the first resurrection unto life to rule with Christ for a thousand years in His millennial kingdom.

No we as believers don’t want to be resurrected at this White Throne judgment for if we are then we are unsaved and are doomed.

⦁ We should be wanting to be raised at the first resurrection of the righteous dead when Christ comes to the earth and calls for His own just after the time of the Great Tribulation see Matthew 16: 27, Matthew 24:31-32, Luke 17:20-37,  Luke 21:20-36, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, 1 Thessalonians 4:11-18, Revelation 20:1-6, Daniel 7:13-14,  Daniel 12:1-3.

⦁ Like the two comings of Christ when the OT prophets spoke of the Day of the Lord they thought it was one day. That the Lord will be on the earth as a suffering servant die and also be raised up but will be bringing in His kingdom at the same time.

⦁ It turns out there is a gap between the two comings of Christ and we are in the period of waiting for His return, during this time Israel has been temporarily set aside by God to allow for the Gentile nations to come to faith in Father through Christ.

Then when the time is right Jesus will return to earth and will rule for a thousand years.  Thereby allowing Israel and Jerusalem to be glorified in him and He in them both being reunited in marriage at His return.

For Jesus is the Glory of Israel and being God the Son He is their Glory Luke 2:32.

⦁ So to the prophets thinking the Day of the Lord being one day not being two different events they also spoke about God judging as being one event not two different events.

For Daniel 12:3 speaks of the righteous and unrighteous dead being raised at the same time when these are two different events.

The righteous dead being raised and Christ judging the living those who will be alive from the nations and Israel at His return.

⦁ Then the judging of the unrighteous dead that is all of humanity who died outside of Christ including the Jews.

Those from the house of Israel along with the nations and those who have been pretend priests, pastors, nuns, monks church leaders who were not really born again but were hirelings wolves in sheep’s clothing.

As well as those of their churches whom they have led astray and never gave them the gospel.  These will be the ones to be raised to stand before Father and Christ at the Great White Throne judgment and they will end up in the Lake of Fire.

⦁ These two judgments are two separate events Christ judging the Living at His return to the earth.   He will judge between the sheep and goat nations in the Valley of Decision.

He will judge those who are His to reward them or otherwise at His Bema Seat somewhere in between His coming to the earth and calling His people to Himself.

⦁ He will judge the dead at the Great White Throne judgment then after this will be the New Heavens and the New Earth with the New Jerusalem being married to Jesus.

In this eternal city all of the eternal nation of Israel the people of that nation of the House of God will be living and dwelling openly with the Lord in the New Jerusalem.

As there will be no more temple or need of a temple due to there being no more sin in this beautiful city the New Jerusalem for eternity upon eternities.

⦁ For they will live forever because the life they have will be eternal because it is the life of their very God through His Son being in them.

He is a life giving Spirit and He gives eternal life to whomever He wills and He will give it to those who believe in Him.  This includes those of us who believe in Him from the nations we will be dwelling there in the New Jerusalem with Him as well.

5 What is the Significance of the robe of Blood that Jesus wears when He comes out of heaven and judges the Nations?
⦁ The Significance of the Robe of Blood that Jesus wears at His Second Coming is as follows:

⦁ He will return in a robe dipped in blood, this will be the blood of the nations that He has trampled upon in the wine press of the wrath of God.  He will trample on the nations until their life blood comes upon His garments.
References: Isaiah 63:1-6 and Revelation 14:17-20, Revelation 19:13.

⦁ Jesus as God and Judge is the Avenger of blood.  He is the Avenger of the blood of the saints, and the prophets who have been martyred for their faith in Him.

As well as being the Avenger of the blood of His native born kinsmen the Jewish / Israeli people who have been persecuted and put to death down the centuries.

⦁ Also the robe of the blood the Lord Jesus wears at His return could also be the blood of the martyrs that the nations have killed and He will be returning to avenge the blood of His saints, the prophets and the people of the House of Israel (Jews).  That these people killed to try and rid the earth of God’s people so that satan can have his evil way on the earth.

God avenging the blood of the saints and prophets in His just judgments upon the kingdom of the antichrist and Babylon.
Revelation 16:3-7
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
Revelation 18:20-24
Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
2And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Revelation 19:1-4
And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

⦁ Yes the Lord will be coming back in a robe dipped in their blood, the blood of the saints, the Jews His kinsmen, the prophets, His own blood that was poured out on the cross and the earth outside of Jerusalem will be on this robe too.

For it is a robe like what the High Priest wears when Aaron and his sons were sanctified as priest they had to offer up sacrifices.  Some of the sacrificial blood was sprinkled on their robes so that by the end of their period of sanctification their robes would have been bloodied from the different sacrifices that were sprinkled upon them.
References:  Leviticus 8:1-36 take especial note of verse 30.

⦁ Jesus’s robe too would be like this as a testimony against the nations that He poured out His blood for them.

It will be a testimony against them for they have killed those who believe in Him and they are guilty of shedding both His blood and those who follow Him.  As well as putting His kinsmen the Jews to death.

He will have the blood of the nations on His robe from His trampling on them in the wine press of His wrath.

⦁ Not a pretty sight perhaps but the Lord is strong and mighty a warrior and a just God,

He will avenge His people on their enemies and those who refuse to accept His just salvation. His people are hidden in God away from Father’s wrath by being hidden in the Son covered by His blood.

⦁ For He is our Passover, God’s wrath judgment passes over us because we are hidden in His Son.

We are hidden in God away from God, that is we are hidden in God the Son away from the wrath of God the Father against sin. We are hidden in Christ who is the Ark of the New Covenant.

⦁ These people who refuse to accept God’s way of salvation by rejecting His Son will end up having their own life blood spilt by the One they chose to mock.

He will even give them blood to drink Revelation 16:3-7,19  before they end up in His winepress of wrath .Revelation 19:15.

⦁ Before going onto the next segment on the significance of the robe of blood when He Jesus judges the nations.

Have a look at the following comparison of when Jesus stood trial at His first coming on His way to Golgotha and look at how He appears as the Almighty God and King of kings at His second coming.

⦁ This will be a comparison between Jesus as the humble King of peace garments He is made to wear when they mocked Him at His trial and the garments He will be wearing when He comes back as the conquering warrior King bringing in His righteous peace.

⦁ For they mocked Him and made little of Him the first time but they won’t be doing this at His second coming.
⦁ For His enemies will be crying out for the rocks to hide them from the wrath of the Lamb of God when they see Him coming in deep anger and wrath against them to wage righteous war against them.

⦁ He won’t be coming humble and lowly mounted on a donkey as at His first coming, no He will be coming as a conquering king mounted on a white war horse.

Coming as a humble king in peace on a donkey
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
John 12:12-16
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

Coming of a conquering King
Revelation 6:12-17
 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 19:11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Scarlet robe
Matthew 27:27-28
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
Robe of blood
Revelation 19:13
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Crown of thorns
Matthew 27:29a
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head
Many diadems
Revelation 19:12
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Reed for scepter
Matthew 27:29b
and a reed in his right hand
Sword for judgment, ruling with rod of iron
Revelation 19:15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:
Bowing the knee in mockery
Matthew 27:29c-31
and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
Every knee bowing in reverence of WHO HE IS.
Revelation 19:16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
Philippians 2:8-11
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Judged by High Priests and Gentiles
Matthew 27:1-6, 17-29
When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Judge of Israel and the nations
Isaiah 4:2-4
In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

God punishes Israel because they broke covenant with Him and dealt deceitfully with Him and each other.
Jeremiah 9:6-16 God’s dealings with Israel see also Jeremiah 10 & 11.

Jeremiah 9:6-16
Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the Lord.
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
9 Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.
12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
13 And the Lord saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
15 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.

God’s dealings with the nations
Jeremiah 10: 6-19
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
10 But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
Jeremiah 25:15-38 and this can also apply to when Jesus returns
For thus saith the Lord God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 Then took I the cup at the Lord's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me:
18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20 And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
22 And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,
24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.
30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord.
32 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
33 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the Lord hath spoiled their pasture.
37 And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord.
38 He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.

Jesus judging the nations in the Valley of Decision
Joel 3;12-17
Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Matthew 25:31-34, 41
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Revelation 19:11-21 the full picture of the Lord in His Glory
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

6 Significance of the robe of Blood when He judges the nations

⦁ So when Jesus sits in judgment on the nations in the Valley of Decision and He will act as a shepherd - a David shepherd King - to separate the sheep nations from the goat nations.

He will be sitting as a King of all kings and Lord of all lords on His glorious throne in this bloodied robe to judge those nations who fought against Him.  Ref: Joel 3:12-17, Matthew 25:31-46.

⦁ As wicked men judged our Lord before He went to the cross those who are alive will be judged by Him in the Valley of Decision.

The judgment of the dead won’t take place until the White Throne judgment, this is the judgement of the living that will be taking place here.

⦁ So Jesus will be carrying out the role of His prophetic name of Dan which means judged Genesis 30:6.

This is one of the tribes of Israel’s names and this is the name of one of Jacob’s sons who make up the tribe called Dan which is not mentioned in the sealing of the tribes of Israel in Revelation 7:3-8.

I don’t know if this is connected to Jesus carrying out judgement of the nations as Dan I don’t know.  Anyway those who judged Him and waged war against Him will in turn be judged by Him both those who are living in the Valley of Decision and those who are dead at the White Throne judgment.

⦁  Jesus will be sitting on His throne judging the nations as a judge, king and High priest wearing this robe of blood as a testimony against these people.  For what they had done to Him by persecuting and putting to death His people being the saints who believe in Him and persecuting the Jewish kinsmen who are the remnant who will be His people by His bringing them into a covenant with Himself at His coming.

It will be also a judgment against the nations for what they had done to Israel as a land and people group and what they had done to His bride Jerusalem the city of the Great King.  This is the city that belongs to Jesus as well for He is the Son of the Great King His Father and He will rule from there over Israel and the nations with a rod of iron which is a scepter of righteousness.   He is Shiloh that Jacob prophesied would come to rule in Genesis 49:10.

⦁ This will be a frightening sight to behold for those nations who persecuted the Lord’s people.  For they will end up being separated as goat nations to be sent off into outer darkness and the sheep nations will go with the Lord into His kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom of heaven will be on earth through the person of Jesus who will have a new name by which all people will worship Him by and this new name will be a combination of His role as High Priest, King and Lord of righteousness and peace.

Jesus is the kingdom of heaven in bodily form for He is God and where He is, is heaven, this meeting of heaven and earth will be on Mt Zion in Jerusalem in Israel.  From where He will rule from His holy temple over all of the earth.

⦁ Would His new name be Melchizedek which means King of Peace and King of righteousness and He is the High Priest after this order or would it be a name something like this name.  We won’t know until He returns and then we will know what His new name will be.
