Brief recap of Part A and John's vision of heaven

In my last post I wrote about how the coming Day of the Lord is also the Day of Atonement and it is also the Day of Christ that they are one and the same day.

I also wrote about how John the Apostle was in the spirit on the Day of Atonement on the Island of Patmos. That while in this state of prayer and worship. He was possibly fasting and praying as this is a command of God to fast and do no work on this day.

While John was in this attitude of worship Jesus appeared to him and began to reveal what is to take place in the future.  He was given a message from Jesus to write to the seven churches under his (John's) care.

Then like the High Priest who came into the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement to atone for Israel.

John too was called into heaven's holy of holies the throne room of God Himself to receive understanding of what is to happen in the last days leading up to the return of the Lord Jesus from heaven's perspective.

If you want to know what the throne room of God is like in heaven.  I will put in chapter 4 of Revelation so that you will know what it is like.

Please do not be taken in by so called visions or after death experiences of people who say they have been to heaven and supposedly describe the throne room of God but what they describe is nothing like what John writes about in Revelation.  Then discard what they say for it is false.

Nor is what John seeing anything to do with the church being raptured into heaven before the period of the Great Tribulation.  

For during his vision of what is taking place on the earth and heaven.  John sees people who are already believers or those who become believers and followers of Christ during the period of the Great Tribulation.  These are they who come out of the Great Tribulation period and have overcome by not taking the mark of the Beast.  So believers are on the earth during this time facing great persecution and having their faith greatly tested during this time. 

Now to the passage in Revelation.

Revelation 4:1-11

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

John then goes onto write about the scroll with the seven seals and the sealing of the 144,000 I am going to skip over these events and I am going straight into the trumpets and vial judgments 

If you want to read about the seals, the four horsemen and the sealing of the 144,000 you can read about them in Revelation chapters 5-7.

Though some of the things in the news articles I have given below may match the fourth horseman going forth.

Possibly they do but I believe they also match the trumpet judgments.  At this stage I don't know if the 144,000 are yet to be sealed  or have been sealed and they are now on the earth preaching the gospel wherever the Lord sends them.  Time will tell if they are on the earth or if they have yet to come.

As to the judgments perhaps they overlap or they are the same judgments that start off mildly then grow in intensity as the degree of judgment progresses from the four horsemen, to the trumpets then the vials and finally the cup of God's wrath against Babylon itself.

The Trumpet judgments and their possible connection to the Feast of Trumpets.

Before we go into the trumpet and vial judgments and the similarities or differences between them.

I am going to write about the Feast of Trumpets because I believe the trumpets being sounded in Revelation before each judgment takes place are connected to this Feast.

That if the book of Revelation is about the coming Day of Atonement or as this day is better known as the coming Day of the Lord.

Then it is only logical that before this great day occurs the Feast of Trumpets will take place in the lead up to this day.  

That even in heaven there will be the sounding of trumpets to announce the coming day of Atonement and they are also announcing the coming of the Great King Jesus Himself from heaven to earth.

Everything in heaven is linked to the earth through the Feasts and the Laws that God gave to the Israeli people through Moses.

Even though we use the word trumpet I believe that what is being blown in heaven and would have been blown on the earth as part of this Feast is actually shofars.  

Shofars are rams horns that the Jews blow as part of their celebration of the Feast of Trumpets this Feast is actually called in Hebrew Yom Teruah (יוֹם תְּרוּעָה‬), literally "day [of] shouting or blasting".

Possibly in heaven shofars are being blown before each judgment takes place.  John being familiar with the Jewish Feast of Trumpets or Yom Teruah possibly used the word shofar in his writing of the book of Revelation but the word shofar has been translated into English as trumpet.

So here are the scriptures about the Feast of Trumpets.  I will also include under each verse from the King James Bible I will put a verse from the Orthodox  and Complete Jewish Bibles to show how the word trumpet should read as shofar.

When I put in some of the verses from Revelation I will put in under some of the verses, verses from the Orthodox and Complete Jewish bibles to show how the word trumpet should read shofar.  I will put this in where needed or where I feel it will be relevant.

Numbers 29:1-6 KJV

1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

3 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram,

4 And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

5 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you:

1B  The Trumpet / Shofar Judgments
I will now put in the trumpet judgments by number and I will do the same with the vial judgments.

I will also include some links about some strange sounds that have been heard around the world over the last few years.  That people think could be shofar blasts.

I will also include news items about bad fires and heat waves around the world as well as strange weather events and water shortages to go with the trumpet judgments headings that best fit the news items.

 Introduction to the seven angels who are the seven angels who blow the seven shofars/ trumpets.
Revelation 8:1-6

1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

I will put in the same verses from the Orthodox Jewish bible and the Complete Jewish bible to show that the word trumpet should be shofar.

1  And when the SEH, (Lamb, SHEMOT 12:3; YESHAYAH 53:7 Moshiach) opened the chotam hashevi’i (seventh seal), there was silence in Shomayim about half an hour.

2 And I saw the shivat hamalachim (seven angels) who stand before Hashem, and there were given to them shivah shofarot.

3 And another malach came and stood at the Mizbe’ach (altar), having a golden mikteret (fire pan), and there was given to him much ketoret (incense, TEHILLIM 141:2) to offer with the tefillos (prayers) of all the Kadoshim at the golden Mizbe’ach before the Kes (Throne). [SHEMOT 30:1-6]

4 And the smoke of the ketoret ascended with the tefillos of the Kadoshim out of the hand of the malach (angel) before Hashem. [TEHILLIM 141:2]

5 And the malach has taken the mikteret and filled it from the eish (fire) of the Mizbe’ach (altar) and he threw it down to ha’aretz, and there were thunders and sounds and lightning and an earthquake. [VAYIKRA 16:12,13]

6 And the shivat hamalachim (seven angels) having the shiva shofarot prepared themselves that they might sound the shofarot.

Revelation 8:1-6 Complete Jewish Bible

1 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for what seemed like half an hour. 2 Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven shofars. 3 Another angel came and stood at the altar with a gold incense-bowl, and he was given a large quantity of incense to add to the prayers of all God’s people 4 on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of God’s people from the hand of the angel before God. 5 Then the angel took the incense-bowl, filled it with fire from the altar and threw it down onto the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, voices, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

6 Now the seven angels with the seven shofars prepared to sound them.

It is also interesting to note that the first three shofars when they sound the judgment is that of fire and hail.  

We must remember that our God is an all consuming fire, that is how He appeared to Moses in the burning bush and at the end of Hebrews 12 it states that God is an all consuming fire.  

Exodus 3:1-6

 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Hebrews 12:25-29

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29 For our God is a consuming fire

 John the Baptist spoke about the Lord dealing with unrighteousness through fire by His separating the wheat from the chaff that He will burn the chaff up.

Matthew 3:1-12

1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Also it is to be remembered that at the end of the age when the earth has been harvested the unrighteous will be burned up with fire.

Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

So it is only fitting that the first three (opening)shofar(trumpet) judgments are to do with fire as a warning of what is to come as the judgments progress in severity.  

I will put down the first four shofar (trumpet) judgments first.

Then I will put the news articles about the sounds people have been hearing over the last few years and the articles on the severe fires that are now burning on the earth.

Then after the news articles I will finish off the Shofar(trumpet) judgments by giving the last three shofar(trumpet) judgments.

First Shofar(Trumpet)

Revelation 8:7
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Fourth Shofar(Trumpet)

Revelation 8:12-13

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitants of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

The three woes are announced between the fourth and seventh shofars I will speak on these woes in Part C on the woes and the two witnesses.  

Now to the articles on the sounds that are being heard around the earth.

Since about 2011 onwards people have been hearing strange sounds around the globe.  No one seems to know where this sound is coming from.  It just seems to come from the air no one can pinpoint the source of the sound.

To some it is just a loud noise that goes on for a while to others it sounds like trumpets or shofars. 

 Is it possible that the seven angels are sounding the shofars in heaven and we are hearing the sound of them on the earth?

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Seventh Shofar (Trumpet)
Revelation 11:15-19
15 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

16 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

At the end of the seven shofars(trumpets) sounding two woes have passed and the third woe is coming. This third and final woe that takes place on the earth is that of the vials of God's wrath being poured out on the earth.  More on the woes in Part C.

2B The Vial Judgments

Now I will turn our attention to the vials of God's wrath again it is seven angels pouring out the vials of God's wrath on the earth.

There are two things to be noted before I put in the vials and what they are.

1. The angels themselves are full of God's wrath as well as the vials.
Revelation 15:1, 5-7
1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

2. The temple of God is full of the presence of the Lord and His wrath and no man can enter the temple until the seven plagues have been fulfilled.  This is the temple in heaven not the one on the earth.
Revelation 15:8
 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

This ends the first two points on the Shofar (trumpet) and vial judgments.

Now we will look at point three.

3B The similarities between the Shofar(trumpet) and vial judgments
I will first of all put down the shofar(trumpet) judgments then the vial judgments.

Then I will put together the  shofar(trumpet) and vial judgment that is similar or appears to be similar.

There are only four judgments that are similar but in reality they are different.  I will put these three down next to each other.

Then in point 4 I will look at how the trumpet and vial judgments are different including the ones that appear similar as well as the others.

At first glance these four judgments above seem to be the same the trumpets (shofars) and the vial judgments.  Yet when you look at them more closely they are different even though they seem the same.

Some seem to follow the same numerical pattern then you look at others they don't follow the same numerical pattern.

The judgments to do with darkness or the sun being smitten, this is the fourth shofar(trumpet) and darkness on the enemy's kingdom this is the fifth vial judgment.

When you look at the judgments there are differences overall between the trumpet (shofars) and the vials.

So I will go into part 4B to do with the difference between these judgments including the ones that seem the same.


4B The differences between them.
One other thought I had about this is that when the seven angels sound their shofars(trumpets) the judgments take place as an indirect result of their sounding of the shofars(trumpets).  

The action is independent of the angels themselves they are not bringing the judgments directly upon the earth.  

Things happen but not by them but through the sound of the shofar(trumpet) which causes a judgment to happen which is through the prayers of the saints being mixed with the fire from the altar of God and being cast to the earth or through stars falling to the earth causing disasters to happen etc.

Then when you look at the vial judgments, the judgments are linked directly to the angels themselves because they come out of the temple with the vials full of the plagues of God.  They pour out the vials directly upon the earth and things happen.  They are the cause of the plagues directly or God is through them.

Something to notice, to think about and consider.

Now to the comparison between the shofar(trumpet) and vial judgments.

For a start I will put the shofar (trumpet) and vial judgments together and will make a comment under each of them.
First Shofar /Trumpet

Revelation 8:7

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Vial 1
Revelation 16:2
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Firstly look at the two judgments, the shofar is sounded and there is hail and fire mingled with blood that is cast upon the earth.  This causes a third part of the earth being burned up including the trees and grass.  

I believe this judgment comes in the lead up to the Great Tribulation possibly happening now going by the huge fires that are now occurring across the globe.  Or they will take place in the three and half years of the false peace covenant between the false messiah and Israel.

Look at the first vial judgment it is totally different there is no mention of fire being cast upon the earth let alone a third of the earth being burned up.  

This vial is poured out on the earth and it causes a horrible sore to come upon those who have the mark of the beast and who worship his image.  This judgment obviously comes during the Great Tribulation when the beast is seated in the temple and is being worshiped as God.

This judgment comes after the false prophet makes everyone on the earth to take the mark of the beast and have them worship his image that he had set up see Revelation 13.  Of course this does not include those who belong to God who refuse to worship the beast and take his mark.  The ones who are being judged are the ones who do not have their name in the Lamb's book of life.

These two judgments are different.  It must be noted that two woes occur before the vial judgments begin.  One woe occurs between the fifth and sixth shofar (trumpets) judgments and the second woe occurs between the sixth and the seventh shofar(trumpets) judgment.  The third woe is God's final judgment upon the kingdom of the Beast and Babylon the Great is judged by God pouring out the cup of His great wrath upon her.

I will write more on the woes along with the two witnesses in Part C of this blog series on the shofar (trumpet) and vial judgments.

Now to the second shofar(trumpet) and vial judgments.

Second Shofar/ Trumpet

Revelation 8:8-9

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

As you can see from the two judgments that though they seem the same they are different.  For a start the shofar(trumpet) judgment it says that a mountain burning with fire is cast into the sea.  Don't know what that will be could be meteorite perhaps.  Anyway it says a third part of the sea became blood and a third of the creatures that were in the sea died and a third of the ships were destroyed.  

Maybe the impact of this mountain this meteor will cause a huge tidal wave to destroy the ships and some how it causes the sea to turn into blood.

In fact recently some of the space rocks that have passed pretty close by to earth have been quite large.  So maybe one day one of these rocks may impact upon the earth.  So is God throwing rocks at our planet like people use sling stones to fight their enemies?

Then when you look at the vial judgment it states that the angel pours out the vial upon the sea and it becomes blood and everything dies in it.  No mention of ships being harmed or that only a third will be impacted it states all things will die.

Is it possible that the whales are beaching themselves because they know what is coming.  Already quite a number of sea creatures are dying and being washed up on the shores of the oceans and lakes or rivers and no one knows why this is happening.

Now to the Third Shofar(trumpet) and third vial judgment.

Third Shofar/ Trumpet

Revelation 8:10-11

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

The third shofar(trumpet)sounds and a star falls from heaven it too is burning like a lamp.  

There currently is seen in space a rogue star it is neither a planet or a star could this be wormwood or something like it.  

This may not be wormwood but it is interesting that scientists have only just seen this star two years ago and it is 20 light years away from earth.  If this star is wormwood it won't take long for it to travel towards earth if God has a mind to send it our way He could speed it along fairly quickly.  Or He could send something else our way like this rogue star maybe not as big as this thing is.

Anyway this star falls upon the earth and causes the waters that it falls upon to become bitter. Again this is only a third of the rivers and fountains of water and this causes people to die from drinking these rivers.  The star must have a high mineral or radiation content to cause the waters to become bitter in this way.

Now look at the vial that is being poured out no mention of a burning star falling to the earth.  Just the angel pouring out the vial of God's wrath and what does this vial do it causes the waters to turn into blood.   This is all of the rivers and fountains of waters.

 Not a third of the waters all of them turn into blood like the oceans do in the judgment of vial 2.

There is a dialogue too after this judgment there is no dialogue like this after the third shofar(trumpet).  The angel of the waters declares that God is righteous in doing this judgment.  

Why is God righteous in giving men blood to drink?  God is righteous because of the blood that has been shed upon the earth during the Great Tribulation of the saints and the prophets possibly meaning the two witnesses who are the prophets that were slain and the saints are those who believe in Christ and obey His commandments during this time.

So God in turn gives men blood to drink in payment for what they have done to His prophets and saints.  A voice also speaks from the altar saying how true and righteous God's judgments are.  Again this is not part of the third shofar(trumpet) judgment when it is sounded by the angel.

Onto the fourth Shofar (trumpet) and vial judgment comparison.

Fourth Shofar/Trumpet

Revelation 8;12

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
Vial 4
Revelation 16:8-9

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

It is interesting to note that in the first four shofar (trumpet) judgments it states that a third part of the trees, grass, the sea and ships, the rivers and the sun, the moon and the stars were affected by these judgments.  

This is possibly during the time of the false peace covenant leading into the time of the Great Tribulation and the beast's kingdom.  Or it could even be starting to happen now before that period of time.

That in this judgment the third part of the sun, a third part of the moon and a third part of the stars were darkened.  So much so that only a third part of them gave out their light during the day or the night.

Then you look at what happens when the fourth angel pours out his vial. This time it is not upon the earth but he pours it out directly upon the sun and guess what happens.

The sun doesn't turn black or dark it ends up heating up and scorching men with intense heat so much so they end up blaspheming God because of the intense heat that is burning them from the sun.  The people blaspheme God because they know it is He who is causing the plagues but instead of repenting of their sins they sin all the more against Him rather than repent and give to Him glory due to Him.

Now I will make some further comments and will include some more articles of interest.

The earth is changing in its climate and it can be seen by what it happening around the earth in the different disasters that are taking place especially the intense heat waves across the earth and the many dangerous fires that are burning in different places around the globe and the severe drought that is affecting one of the states of Australia that will impact upon the Global food markets as well as the national market.

People blame climate change on people for the increase of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere that causes the earth to heat up but this has nothing to do with man made pollution.  In fact erupting volcanoes also pour out huge amounts of carbon emissions can you go up to a raging volcano and tell it to stop polluting the atmosphere?  It will not pay one iota of attention to you if you did such a foolish thing it will just keep on erupting.

This is nothing to do with man made pollutants it is God bringing about all of these changes it is He who is causing the climate to change.  It is He who is causing the volcanoes to erupt, it is He who is causing the huge earthquakes the great shaking our planet is going through.

It is He causing the fires most of them that have been caused by lightning strikes or other natural means.  It is He that is causing the sun to start to become super hot to cause the intense heat waves that we are now experiencing around the globe.  This will only get worse not better and this will increase in severity when the enemy is ruling from the temple in Jerusalem.  God will unleash all of His fury upon this evil kingdom and He will scorch men with the heat of the sun.

So no matter what they do in their think tanks to stop climate change it will not / cannot be stopped because God Almighty maker of heaven and earth the God of Israel is causing this to happen.  He is warring against mankind through creation through the things He has created.  He is using them as weapons against sinful mankind who have turned away from Him to worship useless things.

In fact He is using the things people worship as weapons against them.  People worship the earth, the planet, they worship nature, trees and grass, they worship the environment, they worship the oceans and rivers and the creatures within them, they worship the sun, moon and stars and so God will use these things to judge people for not worshiping Him.

God is judging people because of the following:
1.  They deny who He is and have turned to idolatry by worshiping creation rather than the creator see Romans chapter 1.
2. They have gone into immorality by lusting after all manner of strange flesh men with men, women with women or some men having many wives, or other forms of sexual depravity too disgusting to mention in this blog. 

God was so angry with the nations that were in Canaan before the people of Israel came into the land.  He wanted the Israelites to wipe them out completely because of their wicked lifestyles.  Read Leviticus 18 and 20 to see how bad these societies were that God wanted the Israelites to eliminate from the land.

Now our societies of the west is going back to the pagan ways of Rome and Greece and even Babylon and these other cultures even the ones that were in Canaan before the light of the gospel went out into the world.

3.  The whole of society is turning away from the gospel and are following gods of their own making including the so called church.  Any wonder God is angry with humankind.  Read Jeremiah 23 for what God says about false prophets and read Jeremiah 25 for what God will do with the nations and Jerusalem in the last days.

Onto the fifth shofar(trumpet) and fifth vial judgment

Fifth Trumpet
Revelation 9:1-12

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
Vial 5
Revelation 16:10-11

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

These two judgments are totally different in nature.
The fifth shofar(trumpet) judgment describes a star falling from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and out of this pit come a demonic horde of locusts.

Not insects but demons who has at its head the king of demons. These things are let loose upon the earth to torment men with their stings that are so painful that people will wish to die but cannot do so for death will be taken away from them.  This painful attack will last for five months and this period of attack by these awful beings is part of the first woe and during the shofar(trumpet) judgements.

This woe possibly will take place when the two witnesses are standing in Jerusalem.

The fifth vial talks about the angel pouring out his vial and darkness comes upon the kingdom of the beast.  This plague is very much like the darkness that came upon Egypt during the plagues God sent upon Pharaoh during His deliverance of the Hebrew slaves through Moses.  

More on this in part D of this series of blogs on the trumpet and vial judgments.  I will talk about how the vial judgments are similar to the plagues put upon Egypt at the time of Moses.

These sores that are mentioned in the fifth vial are not from the locusts of the fifth shofar(trumpet) judgment but are from the first vial that is poured out by the first angel.

Again men blaspheme God because of this plague and the sores that are upon them from the first vial that was poured out upon this evil kingdom and upon those who worship the beast and have his mark.  They are in so much pain from their pain and sores that they actually gnaw their tongues from the pain.  

Indeed it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God and to trample underfoot the blood covenant of His Son.  These people are suffering because they have rejected the gospel of God through His Son the free offer of forgiveness of sins through what Jesus came to do to die for our sins and to make peace with God through His soul/ blood being poured out on the tree.

Jesus said people will be judged by His word because they did not believe in Him and at the end that is exactly what is happening people are being judged for rejecting Him and His word.
Hebrews 10:26-31

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

John 12:44-50
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Now to sixth shofar(trumpet) and the sixth vial judgment.
Sixth Trumpet
Revelation 9:13-21

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Vial 6
Revelation 16:12-16

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Though this sixth shofar(trumpet) and the sixth vial judgment seems the same on the surface they are different.

In both the shofar(trumpet) and vial judgment the river Euphrates is mentioned and because it is mentioned people tend to think that it is the same judgment mentioned twice.

It is not the same for the following reasons.
a) The four angels that are bound at the River Euphrates are not mentioned in the vial judgment.  A voice from the altar speaks to the sixth angel that had sounded the sixth shofar(trumpet) to loose the angels that are bound
in the great river Euphrates.  This river goes through three countries, Turkey,, Syria and Iraq before joining the Tigris River to flow into the Persian Gulf.  So could the angels be bound in each of these countries?

Also they are held there for such an hour in time when they are meant to be let loose and they kill a third part of mankind.

b) These angels appear to be in charge of a huge army of horsemen but they are not like normal horsemen with normal horses.  They sound very strange the horses had heads of lions out of which came sulphur, fire and smoke and they had tails like serpents with heads that also sting.  Those that rode the horses had breastplates of fire and brimstone and jacinth.

Very unusual indeed and these beings kill a third part of men possibly those that live in the vicinity of the Euphrates River interesting this river runs through Turkey, Syria and Iraq where a lot of trouble is currently happening in the Middle East right now.

Are these things missiles, nuclear weapons or some sort of supernatural force under the control of God sort of like the vision of the locusts in Joel 2.  Sounds very much like them.  Will they form part of the Gog / Magog army in the end before Jesus comes back?

Could a war take place in Syria involving Turkey and Iraq that will kill off a third part of the people in the region before the final great battle of Armageddon takes place between God through Jesus when He returns and the nations of the world?

c)This event occurs after the first woe is past so they make up the second woe event to take place on the earth and even with all of this happening to people.  

d)The people do not repent of their idolatries, worship of gold and silver, their sorceries, their murders, formications or thefts.  

This will include the harlot church and what we are seeing now in the apostate church with their love of mammon, their sorceries people deceiving others through seductive words or hypnotic acts, their formications sexual misconduct and theft very much sums up what people will be like by this time who will make up the one world religion and political system.

Now to the sixth vial it too speaks of the River Euphrates but it speaks about the vial being poured out on the River to dry it up so that the Kings of the East can pass over it.

I don't know how it will dry up or be dried up but God knows and it will be revealed at the time appointed for it to happen.

It is interesting that China who can be considered as part of the kings of the East is gaining a great deal of power and they are now becoming very involved in Syria.  So it is quite likely they will send a huge army to Syria to help in the war there or to be part of the end times army of nations to war against the Lord Jesus and His people Israel.

Also in the sixth vial unclean spirits are seen coming out the mouths of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet.  These unclean spirits look like frogs and they are the devils that deceive people through the false lying signs and wonders these three unholy beings do.  

These spirits then go out into all of the world to gather the kings and the nations for the Great Day of the Lord God Almighty again this is the Day of the Lord being mentioned here,  It will be the Day of Christ for He will return on the Day of Atonement to fight against these kings and nations for they are being gathered together to fight the final battle that of Armageddon.  This is God's doing to bring all nations up against Jerusalem to war against them. 
Zephaniah 3:8
8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

It is interesting that a sentence appears in the midst of this vial judgment. where Jesus warns His people not to be caught naked for He states that He will come like a thief.

He is warning people that He is on His way and to keep alert for when this final battle occurs ie the nations coming up against Jerusalem.  This will be it the time of His Great appearing.
Revelation 16:15
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame

Now to the final shofar(trumpet) and vial judgment.

Seventh Trumpet 

Revelation 11:15-19

15 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Vial 7
Revelation 16:17-21

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

I forgot to mention that the vial judgments also speak about the judgements being upon the kingdom of the beast and those who worship him and have his mark.

The shofar(trumpet) judgments speak about judgments coming upon a third of mankind, the rivers and seas and the green trees and grass in general, rather than upon a particular group of people.

I will call both the seventh shofar(trumpet) and seventh vial the triumphant shofar and vial.  For at the sounding of the seventh shofar(trumpet)  It is proclaimed that the kingdoms of the world have become the kingdoms of God and of His Christ and He shall reign forever.

That God will judge the dead and the nations.  It is stated that the time of God's wrath has come, that He will destroy those who destroy the earth, this is the third woe that is to take place upon the earth.  For before the seventh shofar(trumpet) is sounded it is stated that the second woe has passed.

In the seventh vial judgment when it is poured out into the air a voice comes out of the temple in heaven stating that God's wrath / judgments is done.

At this statement there were voices, thunderings and lightnings a great earthquake and hail very similar to what happens when seventh shofar(trumpet) is sounded this too is mentioned about the great voices,thunders and lightnings, earthquake and great hail.  Also the temple in heaven is opened and the Ark of the Covenant is seen.

Unlike the shofar(trumpet) judgment it mentions that the great city is broken into three parts by a great earthquake.  This earthquake is so great it is off the richter scale that measures earthquakes that is how strong it will be it states that the cities of the nations are destroyed.  Then it states that the mountains fall down and the islands flee away and great hail fell upon men that were a talent in weight.

Before these things are mentioned about the mountains falling and the islands fleeing away.  There is a sobering statement about great Babylon coming to remembrance before God to give unto her the cup of wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

The next two chapters of Revelation deals with God pouring out His wrath upon Babylon the great.  

I will not go into this here as I only wanted to focus on the shofar(trumpet) and vial judgments along with the two witnesses and the woes and how these things relate to the coming Day of the Lord (Christ) Day of Atonement.

Here ends my writing on the shofar(trumpet) and vial judgments.  I hope what I have written has given you food for thought and prayer, as the days indeed are getting short and darker before the Dayspring comes who is Christ Himself.
